Itinerary

Arrival at Studio - An Introduction to the Craft

Arrive at our authentic glass studio. Your master artisan will introduce the rich heritage of Edo Kiriko, a craft dating back to the 19th century. This is followed by essential safety guidance and a professional demonstration of the precision diamond-cutting tools.

Design & Cutting - Carving the Dance of Light

The heart of the workshop. Select your favorite colored glass and choose from traditional geometric patterns like "Nanako" (fish scales) or "Asanoha" (hemp leaves). Under expert supervision, use the grinding wheel to carve delicate facets into the glass, creating a unique interplay of light and reflection.

Finishing & Cleaning - Refining the Masterpiece

Once the carving is complete, refine your design and polish the edges to ensure a professional finish. Finally, wash your work to see the once-raw cuts transform into brilliant, shimmering facets that catch the light from every angle.

End of Workshop - A Shining Memento to Take Home

Conclude your session with a sense of pride. Your handmade Edo Kiriko piece will be carefully wrapped for safe travel, ready to be taken home as a functional work of art or a precious memory of Japanese craftsmanship.
